I disagree the Patroit Act. American Land of the Free... just let us tell you how to use it. The Patroit Act is just another step towards "Big Brother is watching you" from George Orwell's 1984. The Patroit Act just crosses the line on what we need to do for safty. During WW2 the goverment put Japanese Americans in internment camps. We have made this mistake before, giving up freedoms to be safe. There is a fine line between necessary and over the top. The increased security at airports was necessary, the patroit act was just to far. This just showed how the attacks of 9-11 put america in to a scared and vulnerable state, making the terrorists win.  We need to decide weither if we are American Land of the free or American land of the safe.

great point about the internment camps.  That was done to supposedly "protect" our security.  Watergate is another great example of how government can overstep its bounds if we let it.

I don't think the terrorists won in this case. Yeah, they did put fear into us when they attacked us during 9/11, but they only made it harder for them to attack us again. Since the stricter rules have been put into place for example; airport security and etc. Terrorists have been stopped before they could cause damage (The underwear bomber). They may have won during 9/11, but because of our policies and etc we are winning all the time.

The Terrorist hated all the freedoms we offer in the United States. Giving them up for safty is just letting them win.

They died on the plans too. They don't care about there lives just showing and forcing the world that their idea is right. We are giving into them.

Thank you for this. I've been saying this for a while. It shows that they have scared us and it's changing our society, which is what they aimed to do in the first place.

Jesse makes a great point. Yes i will agree we were in a vulnerable state because we were caught unprepared. But we fought back and this was just our defensive act to make sure it didnt happen again.
