I don't see why it's so bad to have the government taking information to find the terrorist. The patriot act allows the government to wire tap, track people on the computer, watch sophisticated terrorist etc. which is good because it's easier to make sure the terrorist don't do anything bad. I do think it invades the privacy of the innocent citizens of the United States but why should we be scared (or not want to) to be watched to make sure there isn't anything bad going on. Like in the movie, everyone was upset about being tracked in Vegas but what if the government had found a terrorist attack before the people in Vegas were all blown up?

Security cameras are also a good thing because they can make sure there is nothing suspicious going on. If something happens, the government can quickly help or stop whatever is going wrong because of the cameras; yet everyone complains about not having privacy. Maybe there should just not be any cameras around and see how that works out for the safety of everyone

I do think the government should delete the information that they took from the search for terrorist but if they don't and try to charge a person for a crime otherwise unknown, the person could just claim that it was unconstitutional because it was wrongly obtained like a search without a warrant.

It's important for us to give up a little of our freedom and let the government take out the bad guys.

Yea i think that anyone that isnt related to terrorism shouldnt be charged with anything that the govs find unless its like murder or something.

David, I agree with you because this act doesn't really invade our "privacy" because the government is just trying to protect us.

Even if they did find something like a murder or Assault and Did use it against them which they are not and cannot. but would'nt that just be making Our home or area a safer place to live? i really dont see the downside of it. Boohoo my stuff or info was looked at. but amazing im still alive and so are many americans. I agree with you completely.

I agree with you gibby, it is important to give up a little freedom so that we can live a little bit safer. I feel that most Americans are selfish and only care about theirselves and dont realize how good it is and Freedom is not a privilege.

Where will it stop!  The only place you are not being observed is in the bathroom and hotel room in Vegas.  How about doing that here at the high school and putting a live feed for parents to view online.  Cameras in the classrooms, halls, lunch room.  Great right?

i agree the government should get rid of some of the data that they collect that they determine isnt going to be used. but all they are really trying to do is protect our overall safety. why should we care if they watch us it should bother anyone unless they have something to hide.
