I don't see why it's so bad to have the government taking information to find the terrorist. The patriot act allows the government to wire tap, track people on the computer, watch sophisticated terrorist etc. which is good because it's easier to make sure the terrorist don't do anything bad. I do think it invades the privacy of the innocent citizens of the United States but why should we be scared (or not want to) to be watched to make sure there isn't anything bad going on. Like in the movie, everyone was upset about being tracked in Vegas but what if the government had found a terrorist attack before the people in Vegas were all blown up?
Security cameras are also a good thing because they can make sure there is nothing suspicious going on. If something happens, the government can quickly help or stop whatever is going wrong because of the cameras; yet everyone complains about not having privacy. Maybe there should just not be any cameras around and see how that works out for the safety of everyone
I do think the government should delete the information that they took from the search for terrorist but if they don't and try to charge a person for a crime otherwise unknown, the person could just claim that it was unconstitutional because it was wrongly obtained like a search without a warrant.
It's important for us to give up a little of our freedom and let the government take out the bad guys.
