Ron Paul believes that our foreign interventionism has helped cause the problem of terrorism--it creates and causes it to grow. He believes it has also led us to the debt crisis. He also believes that we must not sacrifice our civil liberties--if we stay out of other people's business and scale down government intervention in the economy, we do not need a government that dominates our lives in terms of economics, civil liberties or foreign policy.
Without government intervention on the economy, though we wouldn't have a safety net for when businesses to start to fail. The government's taxing helps to make sure we stay somewhat in the black so when things look bad for big businesses, the whole country doesn't shut down.
We shouldn't sacrifice our civil liberties, but who else will watch out for the economy?
I think Ron Paul's opinions and stands are refreshing. His views on government involvment are different from the typical Republican. I absolutley agree with his statements on Foreign Intervention!
