I agree, i think the USA patriot act is necessary because we should feel protected even if we lose a little privacy...
We're not losing a little privacy. We're losing basically all privacy. Everything is monitored aside from what you do in your house, and in public bathrooms. And if the government decides that they think you could be a suspect, you lose privacy in your own house as well. I guess at least you have public bathrooms.
I see you point but still how else do we go about finding threats to the country??
Little do we know. The government doesnt tell us everything, if there was a threat in the U.S do you think they would tell us. NOOOO, the whole country would go crazy. Will I know I would
I mean yea if you're into that whole government conspiracy theory stuff sure lol
Threats to this country are inevitable. There is always going to be somebody who is not happy with the way we run ourselves. I don't have an answer to finding threats to our country. However, I think that the idea they are using is overly invasive.
I understand what Kelly is saying but at the same time they will only take away all privacy if you do something to make them suspect terrorist actions
That's not true, if you remember from the video we watched the other day, they were getting information from AT&T services. I have AT&T, I don't want my information being sent to the government, I'm not comitting terrorist actions, but they are still taking away my privacy.
I mean if you're not doing anything wrong why does it matter?
Would you like it if your parents took your cell phone and just started going through it, or your facebook, or any form of communication you had without you knowing?
I agree a few inches or a foot of privacy is worth our protection being secure.
i totally agree with you alethea
