The patriot act is a useful and necessary part of modern America. Not only is it very integral in modern society due to the increase in long distance and internet based commmunications, but it has also plays a huge role in finding and being proactive for finding terrorists. Even though this could easily be considered a violation of privacy and many people see it as a violation of their rights, as long as these people have nothing to hide the government doesn't give a care about their private affairs.
