"The USA Patriot Act and other actions that expanded the powers of the executive branch in matters of national security are necessary to protect the citizens of the United States from foreign and domestic threats."

1) I disagree with the USA Patriot Act at all it gives the goverment to much power to spy on U.S citizens. I think it is a invasion of privacy for the goverment to spy on everday americans and the govements excuse was that they are looking for terriosts. It also makes it so national security doesnt have to have a warrant to access business record all they need is a national security letter which is unfair at all . And in the film frontline "spying on the home front" the goverment was spying on americans and they were also data mining and thats not right.

they should keep the look out for terrorism but in a different way they are taking this all to far and doing things that are unnecessary if you have a reason that they may be a terrorist than you can spy on them so i agree with you all the way.

I Agree,

but you have to look at it from both sides even though they invade our privacy which is definetly wrong. have we had another tragic terooist attack since 9-11? no we havent so they have been doing a good job but they're abusing their power at the same time.

It is an invasion of privacy and the government shouldn't have this much power. If you don't do anything why do you need to be looked at? I agree with you.
