The Recovery and Reinvestment Act initiated by President Obama basically claims the government will pour out over $750 billion into the now failing economy. In this, there are three general areas of major spending. First came the bailouts, and not just to businesses. A majority of the 50 states have received large amounts of money from the federal bank. Second comes Obama's idea of redoing America. Billions will be spent on new roads, bridges, parks, ect. At the same time, that will supposedly create new jobs as well (someone needs to actually pave the roads). Lastly, the Obama Admin. has greatly invested in green technologies. Mainly finding more renewable resources and working on electric car technology.

Obama, and more so Joe Biden, believe that the bill is helping America greatly, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs and doing so after only spending a third of the bills total value. On the other hand, the GOP is upset with this as it is spending over $750 billion. That's a lot on any account, but with a nation as broke as ours, every penny counts, and we cant go spending this much money that doesn't really exist...

Even though I am and strong right wing supporter, I believe that if we HAD to spend this much money, that this would be a decent option on how it could be done. Green technology is on the rise, and jobs are being created, although somewhat slowly, across the nation.
