I really liked Book One. I think the characters are really interesting. However, my favorite character is Alyosha. I like him because he is shy, quiet, respectful, and the only one who seems to be completely trustworthy. Also, he respects his father despite the way his father acts and treats him and his brothers. I, personally, do not like Mr. Karamazov at all. He is rude and completely selfish. Also, he doesn't seem to care too much about his children. I mean when they were first born, he practically neglected them. He is a man with little morale.
