This book, honestly confused the crap out of me at first. Excuse me for being slow. Fyodor strikes me as a man whore who cares a whole lot about money and being the center of attention. I can't imagine living a life like that. Living dirty and having pride in being left by his second wife, when did he lose his dignity? I really don't like him or his attitude. The character I do like though is Alyosha (forgive me for going with the flow). He just has a good heart and charm about him that you don't really see in anyone anymore. Do you know any kid that is loved by everyone in his presence and isn't stuck up about it? So, I really like that guy. The servant of Fyodor, Gregory, isn't half bad either. Any man that takes in children that are not his own and cares for them is okay with me.
I agree char! good job buddy!
I don't think you are "slow" Your reaction is typical of what the author wants to create. Fyodor is a disgusting human being. As you read, notice if there is anything significant about him. Does he change? repent?why or why not?
