1) The major elements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 are: to create jobs, fight the country's oil addiction, fight global warming, and improve the health care and education systems. The plan focuses a lot on clean energy and going green in order to stop being so dependent on oil.

2) From Obama's point of view the stimulus provides change even though it is slow. By putting in money into the economy and programs such as clean energy and programs to create jobs, Obama believes that the economy will eventually recover and that it has been making progress. From the Republican party's point of view, the stimulus is not helping with unemployment, is too liberal of an agenda and that it has put America more into billions of dollars in debt.

3) My opinion on the stimulus is that, despite criticism, it is improving our economy slowly. It has cut taxes for 95% of working Americans, funded over 100,000 programs, and moved our country in the right direction of clean energy. It is not possible to recover our economy over night and i think the stimulus is definitely making progress.
