I believe the United States should have intervened in Rwanda. If France, Belgium, and the United Nations did not help, why didn't the United States? So what if we don't have economic interest in Rwanda? The United States shouldn't focus on interests in money and business so much. Genocide is genocide and there shouldn't be contemplation on whether or not people should be saved. When others do not come to aid, the United States should step in anyways and do something to help resolve the situation. The armed forces should know what they're getting into when joining the military. They are there to protect others and are willing to sacrifice their life.

I agree. Since no one else was helping we should have gone over there and helped.
