France: Recently France as well as the rest of Europe are suffering harsh economic times. France however has the second largest economy in Europe, behind Germany. Although France is stuggleing to keep themselves above water, many other countries in Europe are going to France for help with their poor economy which is negatively impacting France's ability to help their own economy. This country, which has accumulated so much of other countries debt in their own banks needs help. They need to be able to trade with other countries for a lower price because ultimately Europe's economy has a large impact on the rest of the world.

France will benifit if they have more trade because it will help get their banks out of debt. This will also help other countries in the world because if France is doing well, in turn the rest of Europe will do better, and the rest of the world also will be helped.

Some unintended concequences may be that by lowering the cost of trade, other countries will not be able to fund the lower trade cost and stop trading with Europe in general. However, if France begins getting better, it will ultimately help th e rest of the world.

Perhaps France should start created a better business environment for itself!!No 35 hour work weeks and laws that don't allow businesses to fire employees for two years and provide 6-8 weeks of paid vacation each year!!!

Keeping employees for two year at minimum helps with their unemployment rate though. It insures that you have a job for at least two year.

Switzerland promotes your idea of trade with other countries. We would like to expand our trade as well.
