The Most Awesome Book 1 Character Summary EVER

As of today I have finished book 1 and I must say the last half of the last chapter was most probably the most boring and slow paced piece of writing ever. But anyways...this topic is about characters. Many people would say that their favorites were Dmitry, Ivan, or Alyosha...some would even go to the extent of saying that Fyodor was their favorite. But me, I truly believe that the coolest character and the one I like the best is by far...Gregory!

Most people wouldn't remember a character like Gregory, but we should and for many reasons. Not only did Gregory care for Fyodor's kids when he was too drunk to realize he was a human, but Gregory showed many hidden signs in the first book that show how awesome he is. For starters, Gregory is obviously the only guy with an all-American name which means he might have lineage that will lead to great American heroes, like Bill Gates, George Washington, and Kool-Aid Man. Gregory also was the only one that cared to put a tombstone on the ''Crazy Lady" Sofia's grave. I mean...come on! Only cool guys would remember to put tombstones on graves, which obviously means that Gregory is affiliated with some secret society to better the human relationships on Earth. He also is probably the only person who would take a slap and bow to the person inflicting the slap in admiration. Gee...what a good guy. From reading just the first book I have realized that Gregory might not be from Russia, but from another world, a world inhabited with people that have pronounceable names (and only one name may I say...I think Dmitri and Alyosha were referenced with two different names and we were supposed to know that) a world that cares about babies when they may die and a world that remembers to put tombstones above people's graves.

Now that the awesome character is out of the way, I must get on to my least favorite character. My least favorite character is the Elder Zosima for one main reason:

I think he is really lazy and just doesn't want to get over being sick so he makes other people around him feel bad. And when it says that he can't handle meetings with poor and needy people, it obviously means that he would rather sit around his little cell and play Go-Fish with himself.

So yeah, my favorite character is Gregory because he is very caring and knows when to be grateful after taking a beating. And my least favorite character is Zosima because I think he is faking his illness to sit around his cell and have fun all day instead of doing boring stuff like curing people's sicknesses and telling them to praise god.

This book seems interesting so far, I would like to see how the plot develops, and as long as Gregory is in the whole book I will be satisfied.

LOL! Sorry, but that was quite hilarious. I do somewhat agree about the Gregory part though. No, not the secret society, different world, or kool-aid man parts. He does seem to be a very good person. He took care of the kids, remembered the grave, and let the lady take the kids, knowing they would live a better life with her. But seriously, your response is hilarious.

Yes, Tariq, your response is hilarious. I can tell that you are reading the book and can follow the plot. You and Bobby are my two stars as you have taken right to this assignment and understand the technology. Speaking of which, make sure to go to your profile and change your e mail address. Mr. Phipps will put me on his list?? as right now, your e mail will go to him.
I created a quiz on ch 1, but I cannot seem to figure out how to upload it. Keep reading.
Make sure to watch your first movie.

Nice discussion, Gregory was my second favorite. Sadly, after the kids childhoods you don't hear much about him anymore.

I think the Elder Zosima seems like a secretive character. We know nothing about his past and everyone seems to love and worship him. Hmm....

I wonder when everyone else will catch on to posting things.

Okay, so I've been getting all these emails about "THE MOST AWESOME..." blah blah blah, and I thought I was getting spam, but then I finally realized what was going on.

And that most likely, I know the people who are posting these things :D

Okay, I haven't finished book one yet, but I'm almost there. And apparently it's the greatest thing ever, according to you people, so I guess I have to take your word for it. I have to read more tonight!

I'm afraid I can't agree with everything you're saying, lol.
But Gregory is a very kind character that knows how to open his heart.

Elder Zosima lazy?
The man is ninety years old for gosh sakes! :]

I totally agree with you! Gregory is also my favorite character in the book, he seems to the be the only person in the book who has a heart. He's also the only one with a pronounceable name.

He's also the only one with a pronounceable name.

Haha, Miranda.
I laughed at that more than necessary.
I find it really odd that all the sons aren't emotionally damaged after their father basically forgot about them for the better part of their childhood.
Most of them seem normal.

I said seem normal, haha.

Andrew,
this does not please me.
I need to see a posting of your impression of book 1 prior to the book 2 deadline. Let's get busy.

Tarboo, it just so happens that Gregory is also my favorite character.  He is quite responsible and he sounds like a good looking man.

You're funny.
