In this book it starts out at the trial of Dmitri whom is currently being accused of murdering his father. 3 medical examiners go on trial and contradict eachother untill one that has known Dmitri his entire life proves how dmitri is innocent and their is no way he could of murdred his father or stolen any money. Alyosha also proves how Dmitri could not have stolen the 3000 rubles.
Ivan reveals that Smerdyakov is the murdrer and shows how he stole the money.
Evenyone agrees that dmitri is not guilty but then when the charges are read, he is found guilty on every account.
This part confused me because if everyone thought he was innocent how could he have ben convicted? It was a very confusing book. Glad its over!
