Book Nine: Dmitri was interrogated about the murder of his father. He tries to convince the ones interrogating him that he really truly is innocent, hoping that they'll believe him. Grushenka does support him in what he says, testifying that she was with him when Fyodor was murdered. Dmitri does confess that he did in fact hit Gregory and may have possibly killed him on accident. Luckily, Margaret comes and says that Gregory is alive.

Book Ten: IIyusha is very sick and is almost dead. Aloysha feels terrible for him and has several friends come and visit him. Katerina calls for a doctor. The doctor tells everyone that IIyusha is indeed dying.

In book nine, I don't know if Dmitri did actually kill Fyodor or not. If he did, he's much more twisted that I thought,

In book ten, I feel so bad for Aloysha and for the dying boy. Aloysha doesn't deserve to have someone that's so close to him pass away.
