I am almost surprised that I really do like this book. It's overwhelming me with it's length though.
I was super confused the entire chapter talking about Ivan's argument with the church and state. Other than that I really like the chapter. The author is definitely foreshadowing a few things that are about to happen. It seems that the death of Fyodor is coming shortly..Rakitin was hinting at it (along with the back of the book. Also, I'm thinking there will probably be a dispute over Grushenka. Both Ivan and Fyodor like her. Which is not only crazy because Dmitry is married to Katrina, but also because Fyodor is Dmitry's father.
