This course is the basis for the remainder of high school math. Algebra develops the organization and logic abilities of the student. Included in algebra are the following topics: number and set review, algebraic terminology, number properties, integers, equations and inequalities, including second and third degree sentences, and verbal problems. This course also stresses the development of proficiency with polynomials, special products, factoring, and skill in working with coordinate graphing and open sentences in two variables.
