COURSE 1:

Students will learn essential Web page development skills.This course teaches students to develop Web sites using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Extensible HTML (XHTML), and incorporating images, hyperlinks, tables, forms, and frames.Students will learn to write code manually, as well as use graphical user interface (GUI) authoring tools.Other topics include validating XHTML code, recognizing the importance of marketing, implementing fundamental design concepts, identifying e-commerce solutions, and relating Web site development to business goals.The course also provides an introduction to tasks, job roles, and careers in Web development.Throughout the course students will learn how Web sites are developed as managed projects and how to work as a productive part of a Web site development team.Hands-on labs include real-world scenarios.

The BMA General Management Pretest is a series of short assessments to measure students’ readiness to take the NOCTI General Management assesses required by the state for BMA program concentrators and completers. In partnership with Cengage, assessment items were selected from three textbook ExamViews: Principles of Business 8e; Business Principles and Management 12 e; and Business Communication 2e. Lesson plans have also been developed around the duties and tasks measured in the General Management Assessment (aligned with the BMA Performance Elements).
