Hi,
Like many of you, I will be taking the week off. I will be up North, sitting by the lake, reading and relaxing. I will of course, have texts to read and will do that. Before I leave, I just wanted to touch base with all of you. I am so pleased at the discussion threads I have been reading. Your discussion of religion, what Dostoevsky thinks, of honor, of the characters really tells me that you are engaging with the text. Yes, I know that some passages necessitate 2 or even more readings for full understanding, but being able to read, post discussions, read others ideas and then go back and re-read will take your understanding of this text so far. I just love it, I may start teaching all my classes on line!!!
keep reading, and I will check on you later in the week. I can check my e mail from up North, so if you really need me, just e mail and I will get back to you.
I know that some of you are having trouble getting a Shakespeare movie on video. Please check out the public library. Also, there are always local Shakespeare festivals. Feel free to attend a live preformance and write about that instead.
have a great week\
