i feel like our country turns every holiday into a big way to make money so the 4th of july doesnt really seem to be about our freedom all that much. It makes us seem very ungrateful because we arent the ones sacraficing our lives for freedom. We were just handed the freedom so it is nothing new to us, the 4th just seems like tradition and celebration more that rememberance. Dostoevsky would probably think the same way, we have all this and instead of being happy we only complain and want more. Americans in general just seem to be getting more greedy.

Along with people becoming more greedy i also feel we are lazier as well. i dont want to get into it, i just think that Wall-e will probably be reality some day... sadly.

I like the fact that everyone celebrates the fourth of July. Just because they are here to celebrate, doesn't mean that they haven't contributed to the freedoms we have.  I agree with the greedy American's part, for sure.  But there are a lot of American's who are not greedy, too.
