It's really evident that Joyce Carol Oates really enjoys Fyodor Dostoevski for the author he is and the work he has accomplished. The first part of her articles concerns the summary of the book and pointing out the pros and cons of the writing. She holds more pros than cons, and her cons only consist of people misinterpreting what the author is trying to convey.
After the first part, I'm not sure what Oates was trying to say about the book. She uses some lengthy vocabulary and I definitely get lost in the words and meaning.
