This artical was quite lengthy. It took me a while to focus and understand what the author was really saying. I think this women has a lot of respect for Dostoevsky, both as a person and an author. I like how Joyce Carol Oats pointed out that Dostoevsky dosen't use symbolism because his entire story is a form of symbolism. She mentions that the Dostoevsky family in the book is like russa and the book (The Brothers Karamazov) is like the history of the world. She is a very talented author. Reading this articel made me understand part of the book that we are reading and i am sure that i would understand more of this article if i red the entire book. I look for ward to reading the rest of the book now.
