1.  Tourism in Fiji is has gone down a lot because in 2006 Fiji had a coup de tat.  This hurt businesses badly causing a lot of job losses hurting businesses very badly. 

a.  Tourism stakeholders in the public and private sectors plan to expand tourism activities and significantly.  The Fiji Government also identified the continuously growing tourism sector as a major opportunity for poverty alleviation in Fiji, which is seen as the root cause for many other problems, for example environmental degradation. 

b.  There aren't really any consequences other than having an over load of tourists, and touring Fiji would cost more, but not by a lot.
