Chameria was a part of Albania since the 12th century but in 1912, Greek forces took it over. In the 1940's the greeks asked all albanians living there to join the "Nation Republic of Greek League" the Albanians response was negative. After they said no, the leader of the National greek republic, ordered the troops to kick all Albanians out of the area. Many people were beaten and killed, and although some got away they had to go a lot of miles, to places where they did not have homes.

Getting it back would benifit because it is rightfully Albanian Territory and the Geece is going bankrupt.

A coinsequence could be war, but 's outweighed by the fact that if Albanians didn't escape it could of been a full out genocide of those people, so Albania deserves it.

I see this point of view, but trying to just take back territory just to have it won't exactly help out Albania. This would also cause another unnecessary war.

I agree that it would cause a war, however, if Greece is going Bankrupt Albania can pull it out of debt.

Jason,

Good proposal.  Perfectly appropriate for the U.N.--why have I never heard of this?

I think that the only reason I know about it is because I am a Cham-Albanian.
