Plot Synopsis: A young african-american girl faces abuse through-out her life. With the help of friends and her own strength, she over comes it.
Characters:
Celie: Main character as well as protaganist. She faces much abuse in her life and is soft spoken. She loves her sister very much.
Nettie: The sister of Celie, very intelligent. She gets kicked out of Celies house and eventually moves to Africa. She loves her sister very much.
Mister/Albert: Antaganist of story. Abuses Celie her whole life. In love with Shu Averly.
Sofia: Very strong women. She beats anyone who beats her, and eventually that catches up with her.
Harpo: Oldest son of Mister/Albert. Not as mean as his father.
Shug Averly: Loved Albert. Helps Celie out. Sings. Is a "sinner" to her father.
Major Symbols:
Purple: represents god wanting to be loved.
Personal Response: It was actually a decent movie. It was more of a lifetime type movie, but it wasn't horrible. I give it an 8/10. ;D
