In my opinion, the USA Patriot Act is necessary to protect the national security of US citizens.  Without this act we might see another 9/11 in the future. The only bad thing I see is how much it probes into the lives of citizens.  If there was one thing they could improve in this act, it would be finding the technology so that they don't have to "spy" on everyone.  If they did that, I'm sure the USA Patriot Act wouldn't seem so vulgar and a violation to people's rights as a few people might think.

Great idea but they're going to have to know whats going on in peoples life to know who's involved. They provide us with protection so we can sacrifice some freedom. :)

What do you mean by "finding the technology?"  Do you mean improved monitoring of internet traffic?
