Ugh. Could this book take any longer to finish?? The author goes on and on about everything, and it's annoying. He has many run-on sentences and too many commas, and one paragraph lasted, like, a page and a half.
Anyway. Each brother represents a different aspect of mankind; that's obvious. I mean, there's Ivan- the atheist, Alyosha- the Christian, and Dmitri- the, well, I'm not sure what to call him. But I think he's stubborn, greedy, and smart. I like Alyosha- how can anybody not? I mean, his heart is in the right place, he's caring and kind, and, of course, the author speaks so highly of him. I really can't stand Fyodor, though. He's a pig.
An arrogant jerk. A greedy, selfish, misogynistic pervert. And a whole bunch of other nasty adjectives combined in a blender.
But, I'm confused: is the author's name Fyodor as well as the father in the novel or what??
Anyway, I'm bored to tears with this novel so far. It's definitely not my cup of tea.
Is it available on booktape? Maybe that would help me to stay awake while trying to do my summer homework =/
