ALLRIGHTY! Dmitri was on trial for his fathers murder. Fetyukovich is this big time lawyer that comes to defend him and all of Russia is interested in the outcome. Ivan has gone pretty much insane so when he tells the court that he knows Smerdyakov stole and killed Fyodor and that Ivan is just as much to blame for the murder of his father because he knew Smerdyakov was going to do it. Then he started to talk about how the devil visits him at night. So its understandably why they all though the was crazy. Then Kirrillovich says that Dmitri had a reason to kill Fyodor and Smerdyakov didn't, Dmitri wanted his money. Then he goes on saying the court should punish Dmitri just to kind of set an example, how dumb. Thankfully Fetyukovich kinda says how stupid that is and there is no real proof that Dmitri did it. But eventually it appears he will be set free, he has the crowd thinking that too. Then the jury come back and says he is guilty! thats just ridiculous. This book was kind of crazy, but I suppose it was pretty interesting. I just wonder why the jury had to be so dumb. Poor Dmitri.
