So, I logged onto moodle a a few days after we got out of school and I wasn't enrolled in the class. I check today and everything seems to be up.. yay :]
At least I didn't miss anything.
The characters all seem quite different from one another, even though they went through a lot of the same circumstances. It's interesting how they interact with one another and how some even get along with their dead-beat dad.
My favorite characters have to be Alyosha and Dmitry.
Alyosha is a very likable and a very forgiving person. He's very sociable and loves people, even though it's very evident that there is evil in the world.
I know Dmitry isn't the kindest of characters, but I think he brings some excitement to the table. He seems to be the renegade brother that does things how he wants when he wants. It's cool :]
My least favorite character, along with everyone else, would have to be Fyodor.
To sum it up, he's just a horrible human being. He neglects all three of his sons, marries for dowry, and has orgies every minute of the day! He didn't even care when his first wife killed herself and when his second wife ran away. Gosh, I don't even blame them for doing such things.
This is pretty much what everyone's reactions to the first book is going to be (Alyosha is awesome, Fyodor is stupid)
I find Fyodor to be kinda funny and cool at some times though (don't anyone kill me over this) Like when he gave Dmitry all of his money in small amounts over the course of several years was pretty funny because Dmitry was totally owned by his evil dad and was speechless.

Oh yeah.. Fyodor is a manipulative little butthead. He probably spent more than half of it while he was giving Dmitry little payments.
