So the final trial takes place in book twelve. accounts from almost all the key characters in the book are taken into consideration in this book and dmitry's lawyer cross examines all of them very well finding inconsistencies if there were any. to me, the way the lawyer got his point his point across would have made me declare dmitry as innocent...but then again he has a robot clone named mitya, so i would have to be careful. katerina delivers the decisive evidence, the letter, and i think that was what probably made the judge make his decision. i actually laughed when dmitry was declared guilty and the book was over lol.
