Lise is a wierdo. Changing her mind left and right, going insane. Wack Job. Aparently..Ivan and Dmitry had a little secret plan to have Dmitry escape from prison. Dmitry doesnt want to do it because he feels the guilt and sin of a crime he did not even commit. I think he is becomming a little, brainwashed by those around him, and is convincing himself that he is in fact guilty, which he isnt. katrina has a letter from Dmitry that proves he is in fact the murderer, but she doesnt know wether or not she wants to bring it forth. Smerdyakov said ivan wanted their father dead, but later on he confesses to the whole thing. ((little rat)) Then Ivan goes insane and starts seeing things, the devil. Then Alosha comes in the room and tells Ivan that Smerdyakov had hung himself ((good!)).
I, too, think that Lise doesn't quite know what she wants to do with her life and who she wants to be with. Then again, who could blame her? I mean look at Katya! She is in the same exact predicament.
