1. The role that local state and national government had in preventing Katrina was that they should have evacuated much quicker. The local government should have told them to leave in advance. They knew the storm would be huge but for some reason they didn’t tell them to leave right away. The national government should have helped more instead of staying in the White House and just saying everything was okay when nothing was okay. The state government should’ve provided food and water for the desperate people of New Orleans.
2. I think that none of the governments performed their job as well as they could have. The local government waited to long to evacuate, the state didn’t help provide the necessities to live, and the federal just said that everything was okay when it was not.
