Stimulus Bill

1.       I think the main element of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was to give America a fresh start.  The Stimulus Bill is about saving jobs, but that is just its short-term goal.  Some of it’s long-term goals are not using as much oil, fighting global warming and transforming education and health care.  So far it has cut taxes for 95% of working Americans.  It has also bailed out every state, help and aided families who are having difficulties and provided projects that have improved the roads, subways, schools, airports, military bases and that is only a few examples.  There have been many more upgrades and changes!

2.       From President Obama’s point of view, he sees how much change has been done and I think that’s why he thinks it is working.  There has been changes in the work field, education and in conserving energy.  However, the Republicans see it as the government over spending money while the deficit increases.

3.       I personally believe in the Stimulus Bill.  United States is already in a bad situation so why not try something new?  If we are scared of change and we do not take chances, we will stay in a bad situation.  But if we give the Stimulus Bill a chance to see what it can do, we might be surprised.  So far, there has already been many changes.  There has been upgrades on roads, schools, military bases and many more.  And this is not the end!  There are still many changes that the Stimulus Plan has in store.  The Stimulus Plan invests money into smart grid, energy efficiency, electric cars, renewable power from the sun and other items that transforms us into an eco-friendly country.  I feel that there has already been some great changes and more great changes are yet to come.
