2) Obama is promoting positive change in recovering the country and saving it from getting worse.  He looked to fix things. The stimulus is viewed as a jobs bill. It was the biggest stimulus plan to be proposed. Obama saw it as a chance to do something and really make the change. It was planned to invest, not just spend.

Republicans argued the opposite. Some thought it would inflate things and bring usinto a depression. It was argued that the tax cuts wouldn't take effect fast enough and that there should be more. It was questioned whether or not the plan would really work and how effective it would actually be.

3) I think that the plan is wise. Even if everything doesn't work out, if some does that is better than nothing. America needs help in many areas and the stimulus plan helps. Jobs is a huge problem and it is said that millions of jobs will be provided. The only thing is that this needs to actually happen, if people are let down it will reflect badly on Obama. But I'm all for improving the country in any way.

I agree with you that the plan is wise because even if it doesn't work, we still do need a lot of help and knowing that millions of jobs are supposed to be provided is good as long as it actually happens.
