The production of small, three-dimensional art objects, such as jewelry and small sculptures, using fabrication and casting techniques, will be explored in this course. Metalsmithing processes used will include the following: forming wax models, sawing, filing, sanding, piercing, raising, and texturing. Subsequent semesters will allow each student to further develop their personal expression and their portfolio.
