This two-semester course addresses the needs of all of our students at different levels of competence in the areas of composition, literature, grammar, and vocabulary. Writing assignments will stimulate critical thinking, self-expression and reinforce grammatical, mechanical, and vocabulary skills. Literature study concentrates on comprehension, interpretation, and appreciation. Speaking and listening skills are reinforced through formal and informal presentations. During the first week of each semester, parents and students will be required to sign a contract designating honors level or standard level pathway to learning.
