Selected cooperating offices in the local business community provide an opportunity for an ed-
ucational experience to prepare the co-op student for his/her career objective. A training plan
is developed and the employer and a high school vocational coordinator supervise the student.
Students who average between 15-19 hours of work per week for the school year receive one
credit; students who average between 20-24 hours of work per week for the school year receive
two credits. Students receive minimum wage or a higher rate as determined by the employer,
based on duties and responsibilities
