This course takes a global and comparative approach to studying the world, its past, and
geography, to develop a greater understanding of the development of worldwide events,
processes, and interactions among the world’s people, cultures, societies, and environment. This
course balances the historical, political, economic, and social interactions of people in all regions
of our world while emphasizing the development of a variety of academic skills necessary for
success in high school social studies.
