This two-semester course is designed to give students an overview of the time and events in U.
S. history, including the cultural contributions of Native, African, and Asian Americans.
Special emphasis will be placed on the men and the women who played significant roles in
American history. This class will focus on cause and effect relationships to help students
understand how all the facts can be connected. Vocabulary practice, critical thinking skills,
maps, time lines, charts, and graphs will be included as part of this course. Student will
incorporate technology into their special projects.
