This course continues to meet the needs of students at different levels of competency in the are-
as of composition, literature, grammar and vocabulary. Writing assessments will continue to
stimulate critical thinking and self expression as well as reinforce grammatical, mechanical, and
vocabulary skills. Literature study continues with focus toward comprehension, interpretation,
and appreciation. Receptive and expressive skills will be reinforced through formal and infor-
mal presentations.
