IB Music SL 2 is designed for students who are members of the auditioned music performance ensemble and who are interested in pursuing the Diploma Programme with music as a component of their academic preparation. IB Music SL 2 begins preparing the student for the IB examination (Listening Paper), the musical links investigation and the selected internal assessment. Students will study world music, the final three periods of the Western Tradition (Medieval, Renaissance, 20th Century), performance and compositional techniques appropriate to the SLG internal assessment, and study of the IB required works.
