The students work on developing and acquiring a better overall understanding of English and literacy. The primary focus of the course is the curriculum based program by Sopris West entitled, “Language! Language!” which is a comprehensive sequential curriculum that addresses all dimensions of literacy, including word identification, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and usage, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing.
