This course is designed to give students a review of map skills. Also reviewed will be unit in-
formation on landforms, climates, physical characteristics, and resources. Students will then
apply these aspects to examine various countries and areas within the Eastern Hemisphere.
Cultural studies will include an examination of language, religions, diet, occupations, customs,
education, and recreation as it applies to each country/area. Activities to expose students to cul-
ture and customs will be included in this course. Students will make use of computer technolo-
gy to investigate countries and current information.
