50th anniversary of March on Washington

In this course students will have the opportunity to explore current events on the local, national, and international levels.  In doing so, students will examine, but not be confined to, economic, religious, social, political, cultural, diplomatic, and military issues.  Throughout the course, students will also investigate the historical causes behind several significant current situations.  As a result of this class, students will gain an appreciation of and sensitivity to the variety of perspectives and themes that define their lives in today’s world.
