This course is designed to expand basic American Sign Language skills. Areas of study will include: Vocabulary Development, Grammatical Features, Cultural Awareness, and Conversational Fluency.These components will enable the students to continue developing visual language skills as well as expand their knowledge of historical information. Classroom activities will present opportunities to explore ASL linguistics such as topic/comment structure, spatial referencing, descriptive classifiers, contrastive structures, temporal sequencing.
