The Individuals and Societies curriculum for 7th grade primarily includes the study of the Eastern hemisphere with an emphasis on present day conditions and events. It also includes an ancient history unit that will cover Eras I, II, and III or the beginning of time to 300 AD. Topics in social studies will be integrated through the lenses of culture, history, geography, economics, government, and current events.

Language Arts encompasses reading, written and verbal expression, English language usage, and critical thinking. Both traditional and differentiated instruction will be used in classroom assignments and activities to help students become better readers, writers and thinkers.

This course will cover the following topics: integers, equations, graphing, scale factor, proportions, ratios, data, slope and graphing linear equations.
