Internship is a unique working relationship between the student, school and business community. It is designed to meet the needs of students who desire to enter, progress, upgrade and improve their skills, attitudes, knowledge and ability in a variety of occupations. It is a preparation for those students who are well established academically and interested in a specific career to explore its opportunities and challenges. The school provides related course instruction and the business contributes the paid work experience. This cooperative effort gives the student a better understanding of the business world. This experience frequently becomes the stepping-stone to a lifetime career. Working hours may be during school hours, after school, or on weekends; but a minimum of 10 hours a week must be spent working on the job.
