    The Board of Education serves as a trustee for the Clarenceville School District of Wayne and Oakland Counties. Board members express and represent the views of the community in matters affecting education. They set policy, approve educational goals and curriculum changes, and act on recommendations of the Superintendent of Schools. The Board has fiscal responsibility for approving the annual budget and maintaining a balanced budget at the end of the year. Board members serve as representative delegates and continuing liaisons with: Livonia City Council, Oakland County Intermediate School District, Oakland County School Board Association, Livonia Youth Assistance, and the Michigan Association of School Boards Legislative Relations Network .

    Parent/Community Participation is welcomed at each board meeting. The part of the meeting for input from the public is "Expressions from the Public." This section of the agenda is intended to provide an opportunity to address the Board of Education. Citizens wishing to express their opinions may do so at any public meeting.

    Board of Education Meeting Schedule

    Board of Education Meetings are generally held at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month in Room 107 at Clarenceville Middle School. For additional information call 248.919.0400. Attendance by the general public is welcomed. Each year the Board moves one business meeting to each building in the district in order to build a closer relationship with parents and staff. Please call to verify changes in date, time and location.

    If you are an individual with a disability who is in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter, or any other form of auxiliary aid or service to attend or participate in the meeting or hearing, please contact Pamela J. Swert, Superintendent at 248 919-0250 at least one week prior to the meeting or as soon as possible.

    Minutes of regular and special meetings are stored in the Superintendent's office and are available for inspection.

    Meet the Board

    Ms. Simpson

    Sharon Simpson,


    A resident of the district for over 20 years, Sharon's children all graduated from CHS.
    Term expires: 2016.

    Ms. Bibik
    Kimberly Bibik,


    Elected in 2002, re-elected in 2006 and 2010, is employed at Provident Dentistry in Novi, and has a degree in business. Kim is a graduate of Clarenceville and has four children, including one attending Clarenceville High School.Term expires: 2014.

    Ms. Immonen
    Cindy Immonen,


    Elected in 2009, has lived in the district for the past 21 years. She has two sons attending the district and has been active in school activities. Cindy served on the board from August 2007 through June 2008. Term expires: 2014.

    Mr. Brooks

    Mark Brooks,


    Elected in 2008, re-elected in 2012. Mark grew up in the community and graduated from Clarenceville High School in 1989. He and wife, Melissa, have two daughters who are graduates of CHS. Mark is currently the S.E. Michigan Area Sales Manager for Banner Engineering Corp. Term expires: 2016.

    Mr. Boettcher
    Matt Boettcher


    Elected in 1997, re-elected in 2012, is employed with Plunkett & Cooney in Bloomfield Hills. He is a graduate of the University of Detroit and grew up in Livonia. Matt has four children, including sons who attend the high school.Term expires: 2016

    Mr. Tannous
    Richard Tannous,


    Elected in 2010, has lived in the district since 2004. He has two daughters attending Clarenceville Schools. He earned his B.S. Degree in education and social studies and M.A. in history with honors. He has worked in public education since 1997 and is currently a public high school teacher. Term expires: 2014

    Ms. Uren
    Brenda Uren,


    Elected in 2008, re-elected in 2012,is a graduate of Clarenceville and has lived in the district all her life. Has two sons including one in the high school. Served on Botsford's Parent Teacher Organization as a board member for five years. Volunteers her time for various functions and activities in the district. Involved with the Livonia Junior Athletic League  Term expires: 2016
